The aerology of our sites is well known over many years and many incidents as are the points at which direction brings in hazards. I am very uncomfortable with advice that suggests personal preference has any influence in that. Particularly when responding to a post that appears to be specifically about "expanding the envelope"
Doesnt Liddy have a particularly narrow "safe sector" in the sort of winds and conditions that make it useful?
Are there turbulators immediately off to either side that are predictably unpredictable?
