[TVHGC Members] Milk Hill - visiting pilots issue yesterday

We had some issues yesterday on Milk Hill with 4 visiting UK pilots breaking site rules, one of them reporting.  Nothing to panic about but could have been, one of them reporting he:

1) Looked up a global online directories turned up to fly on Milk

2) Didn't know it was a TVHGC club site after Googling "Milk Hill Paragliding" or reading the signs on the gate

3) Didn't join as a TVHGC temporary member as per our agreement with land owners, and after being asked to pay online didn't want to pay for just one day

4) Landed in the field at the bottom, not the official LZ as apparently there wasn't anything in the Sky Tribe site guide (Avon site?) no idea what that's about.

5) Drove their car into and round the side of the lower field to the base of the hill to retrieve one of their pilots which is a complete non starter and in full view of the farmer who was spraying.

We approached these guys in a nice way to find out more as they didn't have any stickers and after seeing some issues.  Richard had a good chat and it appeared their story just got bigger and bigger and they decided to leave before we could get full details.  Had we got there earlier we might have been able to avoid the chap driving round the field as one small issue like that can close a site.

As members of TVHGC we of course welcome visiting pilots who respect the rules of our club and had they provided ID,  joined and asked for a site briefing there would have been no issues.

I know there were other members of our club out then, so just a small ask if pilots can be aware and take a little bit of time out of their flying to have a chat with anyone they see breaking rules, find out more and also using visual clues such as the stickers.

ps. the club is developing new signage which will be rolled out shortly but in cases like this where a group are being opportunistic and maybe not BHPA etc. its worth having a friendly chat.
