Wednesday June 3^rd, before anyone asks!

Having just done an SIV course I would thoroughly recommend it to any pilot (we had experience levels from >1000 hours to CP+2 hours on our course).  SIV teaches you a huge amount about your wing, the range of safe manoeuvres that are possible and, dare I say it, quite a lot about yourself when you are asked to stop your wing flying while dangling a mile above the sea.  This talk will be much less scary; sitting one floor up, safely within range of the bar.

Hi

 

We have the pleasure of Lee Tryhorn from Free Flight Academy doing a talk for us on acro flying and a session on theoretical SIV at the June social. 

 

Lee is a passionate acro pilot and will give us an insight to the side of paragliding that most of only watch from the side of the hill and wonder what is going through the pilots mind! SIV has stigma attached to it, can be costly and is quite scary to think about (for most of us), however, Lee will try to dispel some of that for us.

 

The social will be held at The Swan, Inkpen, RG17 9DX.  The talk will start at 7:30pm approx.  The pub serves food so why not turn up early for a bite to eat and a chat with fellow flyers.
