Hot off the press: For those Kobo /GPS home built devices used by PG/HG pilots out there who liked LK8000 previously on Windows devices, the port of the code by the developers to Linux/Kobo is gathering pace and they have got a working version for the Kobo (albeit still under test at the minute).
Those who built Kobo's may have used the common BlueFly vario module and GPS module but there was a little issue with that but the developers worked over the last few nights and that's now working ;-) All the GPS and Barometric integration seems to work nicely.
There will be an official early first release shortly for those wishing to try it. LK8000 has always been geared more toward the PG/HG pilot with many more features in that respect than XCSoar used by sailplane pilots. http://www.lk8000.it/Those who built Kobo's may have used the common BlueFly vario module and GPS module but there was a little issue with that but the developers worked over the last few nights and that's now working ;-) All the GPS and Barometric integration seems to work nicely.
This is all for technically savvy users and home built tech, if your not into this then ignore this message.
