This is pretty much what I think, too. I am just to the west of London, but it is still a long way.

Sadly, I had planned to come on the 4th November, but you say there is no meeting lol.

Social update….

There is no Wednesday social in November (next week), however, we do have the AGM on Friday 27th November at The Swan in Inkpen.

Steve Nash will be joining us to talk about Team GBR's Red Bull X-Alps adventure. We are all looking forward to it!

Following the reduction in attendance at the Social Wednesdays over the last few months, please can I ask for your feedback and comments of what you would like to see from socials. Regular meetings, ad-hoc evenings out, continue with speakers (suggestions please) and so on? This will be a point of discussion at the AGM. If you prefer, you are welcome to comment on this post, or message me directly.

Hi Thee,

I try to attend the monthly socials and don't think I miss many. The Swan is fairly convenient for me. I'm happy with the mix of speakers and occasions when it is just an opportunity to chat over a meal and beer. I'd be happy for any variations in location and/or format even if only for the sake of it.

Annoyingly I'll never make it to an AGM unless the date is changed or varied occasionally because it clashes with a longstanding annual commitment which I have been involved with longer than paragliding.

[TVHGC Members] Updated Rybury Site Guide

The Rybury Site guide has been updated and that site is now only available to pilots with a minimum of CP Hill with 25 hours and must have slope landing skills completed. This is due to the loss of the landing field and the tricky nature of the slope lower down that some new CPs would find tricky.

[TVHGC Members] Rybury Bottom Landing Field

Until further notice there isn't a bottom landing field at Rybury. So slope landing is the only option for now when flying unless its an emergency. Fiona is checking the status with the farmer but this doesn't look like its going to get resolved any time soon.
